MealResQ: Food Rescue App UI/UX (WorldMUN Semi-Finalist) · Matt Alexius

MealResQ is an AI-powered app that connects restaurants that have surplus meals with people who need them. Semi-finalist in the Resolution Project challenge at Harvard WorldMUN 2025.

MealResQ connects restaurants that have leftover food with people who need it, so less food gets thrown away. It was a semi-finalist in the Social Venture Challenge at Harvard WorldMUN 2025, run by The Resolution Project.

What I learned

The app has two very different users: restaurants giving food away and communities receiving it. I kept a single product flow but designed it around two different mental models, so the same screen has to feel different depending on who's using it.
